I have a site with Phoca 2.6.0 up and running. I noticed there was an upgrade so I decided to upgrade.

Looking through the the CGI Error Log provided by my ISP and I found
01/26/10 13:40 "/web/administrator/index.php", proc "/usr/local/bin/php5":
% Error: KJOB; Terminating job
% CPU runtime max (job) detected; exceeded 100 job or 50 proc units limit

I talked to my ISP and their assessment is that the php is very inefficient which is causing this problem.

Still having this problem.
Also if I copy the package to /web/tmp and try to install from there I get the following error

Hi, if you have problems with installing components on your site, try to ask on Joomla.org forum, maybe there you will find some solution. Check the path (if it is correct, check the permissions and ownership of files and folders)
