Missing options

Post by nl1bzw »

Hi,

First of all thanks for all the work to develop the best gallery for joomla.

But it seems it still misses quite a lot of options. Maybe it are technical problems, or it will come with the next update.

Or maybe i missed something. The main setting i use is "Highslide JS (Image Only)" with the "Show standard" description setting. Like that it seems that i got exactly the same setting as the "Highslide Description" from the demo website.

The things i'm missing so far:

* Ascending photo's on the date/time taken, but i would also love to arrange them slightly afterwards. So i would love to have the images in the backend in the same order as there are in the frontend.

* Somehow the slideshow seems to stay on 5 seconds even if i switch it to 2 seconds in the options.

* It doesn't recognize if a photo is taken horizontally or vertically. It shows them all vertically, so you miss a part of the image when it's taken horizontally.

* Would love to play movies or youtube code in the Highslide JS (Image Only) mode.

* With the overlib settings on "only description" i would love to see the "description" only. Not the filename of the image with the description.

Maybe a lot of this options are already there, so please let me know if i missed something. Otherwise i will post them on the "uservoice" forum.

That's it :) Keep up the great work.

Yes, I agree. I didn`t find any way to change the slideshow delay in the Highslide JS (Image Only) mode, as well. Perhaps Jan can help.
* It doesn't recognize if a photo is taken horizontally or vertically. It shows them all vertically, so you miss a part of the image when it's taken horizontally.
Go in the backend to Phoca Gallery Control Panel --> Parameters --> Thumbnail Creation Settings --> Crop Thumbnail | Switch this option to "None" and save your settings. Now new created thumbnails will be shown correctly. If you want this for your "old ones" too, you have to delete them and create them new.
* Would love to play movies or youtube code in the Highslide JS (Image Only) mode.
Perhaps this helps..

Great, thumbnail problem is solved like this :)

The only thing is that the dimension of the vertical images is not the same as the horizontal images.

Horizontal: 720x540
Vertical: 405x540

I checked about the video, but you work with 2 links. 1 for the image and 1 for the video. I will just skip the video's on my site then :)

Thanks.

The only thing is that the dimension of the vertical images is not the same as the horizontal images.

Horizontal: 720x540
Vertical: 405x540
Please check if the original pictures from which you made the thumbs have this dimensions, because if you switch "Crop Thumbnail" to "None" the origianal pictures and the large thumbs should have the same dimensions.
Kind regards,
Benno

Hi,
sorry, I forgot somthing which you should check too.
Go to your backend --> Phoca Gallery Control Panel --> Parameters --> Images and Windows Size Settings
There should be:
Large Image Width=720
Large Image Height=720
Medium Image Width=100
Medium Image Height=100
Small Image Width=50
Small Image Height=50
Front Detail Window Width=720
Front Detail Window Height=720
Save your settings and create horizontal and vertical thumbs for testing.
Kind regards,
Benno

Had 720 X 540 at the setting.

By switching it too 720 X 720 that problem is solved :) Thank you very much.
