Recreating the galleries from the directory images/PhocaGall

Hello,
for a stupid mistake I lost everything from the MySQL database...

I have the backup of the folder images/PhocaGallery contains all the photos that were in my gallery and the related thumbnails.

Can I regenerate the categories from the content of that folder? Or, after I have recreated the categories manually, I can tell him to use the photos and thumbnails present in that directory?

Hi, if you saved all images in folder and subfolders according to their categories and subcategories, yes: go to imgages -> multiple add, select the top folder, select the top category and save. Phoca gallery then should automatically create subcategories from your subfolders (category name = folder name). See this documentation article for more information!
