Help publishing to homepage and html editing?

I have PhocaGallery installed and an internal page with a list of categories that is working fine, but I'd like to also display the latest image from one of the categories on my homepage. I have absolutely no clue where to begin.

Also, I'd like to know if there's a way to change the html that the gallery shows the images in. It doesn't display so well in rtl (the images are not centered properly in their frames).

Hi, for the latest images take a look at the phoca image module. You can set it to display the latest image(s) from any category.
