Hi, try to enabled debug mode in your Joomla! site or error reporting, see:

Mine is doing the same also here is what I get, when I go to create, nothing happens, just a red "stop thumbnail creation" on the right:

tried in firefox also and it was a no go. it does not do anything or will not allow you to make thumbnails. also it will not give any error reporting either on that page when thumbnail generating is enabled. I turned it off to get the above information

Re: Blank page in backand trying to upload pictures
Jan, is there anything else you can think of? I have about 2 weeks before I need the page up for a 10 day event and I can't post pics.
this also happened before I upgraded from 2.6.1 to 2.6.2 which is the reason I upgraded to the .2 as I thought there was a problem.
below is a screen shot of what it looks like

Hi, did you enable error_reporting to on. Display your site php errors?

Re: Blank page in backand trying to upload pictures
Hello,
PHP error messages are on and still a blank page not even an error
I still get a blank page in the backend when I go to
components ==>phoca gallery ==> pictures
I'm having this problem on 3 sites with the same provider (one.com) an other site gives no problem (also one.com).
One.com said they won’t help me because they think the load is too high
. Weak excuse I think!
The problem is a slow server I think because I downloaded 1 site completely and tested it local with wamp and everything works fine on my PC.
They advised an other picture gallery! NO WAY
!! Phoca is too good!
Anyway please help us!
Kind regards

Re: Blank page in backand trying to upload pictures
Hi, if there will be some problem with memory (slow loading, etc.) and you have enabled php error then you will get Fatal error with memory error message - so this should mean - there is some ohter error - or the php error displaying doesn't work correctly
maybe looking at the errorLog will display some more info
