User controle panel language problem

Hi,

I have installed en configured Phoca Gallery without much problems and I really like it. However, I have a problem with the User Control Panel. My site is in Dutch and the translations elsewhere in the gallery work fine but the User Control Panel does not display the correct translations. It shows for example "PHOCAGALLERY_USED_SPACE:". Whatever I add to the nl-NL.com_phocagallery.ini file, does not get shown in the User Control Panel.
To me it seems that the User Controle Panel does not look for translations at all.
My setup:
Database Version: 5.0.32-Debian_7etch11
PHP Version: 5.2.0-8+etch15
Web Server: Apache
Web Server to PHP interface: cgi-fcgi
Joomla! Version: Joomla! 1.5.13 Stable [ Wojmamni Ama Baji ] 23-July-2009 04:00 GMT
This is driving me nuts because one of the main design goals for my site is to allow user to upload images. It works, but ik looks ugly...

Did you add the translations to the nl-NL.com_phocagallery.ini file located in /administrator/language?

Yes, I did. I added the translations to both files. To no avail.
