How to make a category start at later date?

In my blog software I can write an item today and choose a date in the future for it to show up on the site. How can I do the same thing with a Phoca category? When I change the date, it still remains active.

Found a workaround if you are comfortable editing your database...

1 - Login to your cPanel, then phpMyAdmin, or whatever you use to manage your database.
2 - Go to the jos_phocagallery_categories table (this is the table name with default Joomla! and Phoca install)
3 - Click "Browse"
4 - Click edit (the pencil) on the row representing the Category you want to start publishing at a later date.
5 - Scroll down to "date" and change this date/time for a future time to begin publishing (keep in mind the time offset of your server when changing the date/time)

Thanks, but that idea is a little too complex for me to do on a regular basis.

I was hoping someone had already created a plugin or something more user friendly.

Hi sideburns,

you can use the Phoca Gallery plugin to show the category within an article and set the article start date as you wish.

But make sure that visitors cannot navigate to that album, eg from the categories page or via the back buttons
