Administrator Running Slow

Dear All,

Has anyone else had the following situation and found a solution ?

Phoca was running fine until mid-August. Then the Administrator Image page & the Multiple Add option began loading very slowly, taking minutes and timing out.

I increased memory and time-limits in both php.ini and .access and this handled time-outs. As well, the gallery has been updated to the latest version.

But still, selection of the images page, changing displayed category, selecting Multiple Add, or New Image runs so slowly, it's often impossible to do anything.

Any help or advice would be great.

Hi, see the info in administration (Phoca Gallery - Info) and check if all the parameters are set to recommended.

Hi Jan,

Thanks very much for helping so fast. I don't know how you find time to handle the forum as well as everything else.

Administrator pages ran slow because Clean Thumbnails had been flipped to ON in the gallery parameters. So it was cleaning possibly up to 40 000 images on the page refresh!
