Display subcategories of particular category

How can I display subcategories of particular category without showing root categories?
How can I put link to it?

I'd like
- to have random image insted of folder icon
- to remove "There is no images in this category"
- inside of each of this categories don't display image's filename

And let me give my appreciations to the developers of so great component.

This needs to be customized in the code, search this forum, as there are guides how to remove this

In category view, the titles are displayed, you can hide them in parameters, see:
