Problem with cache of Phoca Gallery module on mobile screens.

Post by nemmar »

Hi,

I have Joomla 3.8.11 sites and I use Phoca Gallery on my sites. I have a Phoca Gallery Module that displays 5 thumbnail gallery photos at the top of the header of all site pages. You can see one of my live sites with this photo header at: https://www.nde.life/

I am having problems with cache of the Phoca Gallery Module when displayed on mobile screens. I have the modules with classes/settings to hide the Phoca image module on tablets and phones and they have no cache settings. But apparently the cache is causing problems because the module still displays in tablet/phone screens with a mobile menu icon in the upper, right corner.

I checked with Regular Labs support because I use their Advanced Module Manager extension, and they confirmed the issue is a conflict with the cache and the Phoca modules. I have Phoca version 4.3.0 installed, and I just tested the 4.3.1 version on a clone test site but it didn't fix this problem.

Do you have any advice on how I can correct this and prevent the Phoca module from displaying on mobile devices (tablets and phones)?

Thanks.

Hi, unfortunately hard to say. Phoca Modules do not have any specific managing of cache, these are just standard Joomla! modules  If there is some cache option, it is a Joomla! case option  Do you have more detailed info from Regular Labs developers?
