Security alert

Hi all,

when I tried to install this component, my server rejected with alert:

Code: Select all

Security Alert

The file you are uploading was rejected by the server.
It probably contents viruses or trojans that can damage your website

Do not attempt to upload it again as your IP address may be blocked.

Then i checked com_phocagallery_v4.3.6.zip on virustotal.com and I got 1/58 with W32.Malware.Heur.

I don't think that this component contain real virus, but it cannot be installed.

Does anybody can help?

Hi, in the ZIP package, there is no Malware, seems like the info on webroot is false positive. It is common situation that some untrustworthy services creates false positive alarms, but this kind of alarm, it is common, see:

It seems to be a nonsense, because the Windows malware is detected by one service but the file is not installed on Windows.

Anway it is easy to detect that the service returns false positive warning (even without any details), just uzip the file and search the exe inside it.
1) there is no such file
2) the file is not installed in Windows so it cannot be run

Dear Jan,
I totally agree with you, I'm using your stuff long ago, and never had any real problems.

I know there is no virus inside it, but unfortunately I can't install this component, this is the real problem :)
