Hello,
Am giving Phoca Gallery a test drive. Excellent, powerful application.
Am trying to figure out... how to do a Multiple Upload, keep the file names, and have them display when a public user views the gallery images?
I have searched for solutions but have not found the answer yet. So far, the images display but I want to have the filenames also display at the same time.
Ideas anyone?
tx, david

This is the default behavior of the Multiple Add function. Click Multiple Add button, select the files you have previously load up into the /images/phocagallery/ folder of your server (e.g. via FTP) and leave the field Title blank.Am trying to figure out... how to do a Multiple Upload, keep the file names, and have them display when a public user views the gallery images?

Re: Display Filenames
Thank you for the very fast reply Benno.
I did the steps that are documented in the link you provided when I first started and it did not end up showing the filenames when viewing the image in the gallery. I have been walking through many configuration screens to see what may be causing this but have yet to find anything that permits viewing the filenames in the name, title or description of the image.
Reason for asking is I have mebbe 50 images with descriptive filenames and it would be so much easier to let the filenames display when viewing the image.
I will keep at it... but if you have any more recommendations I would appreciate it.

Forgot to add... the filenames did not display in the title after batch upload. Which is why I am asking again if there are other ways of coming at this. tx, david

Re: Display Filenames
Ok, update finally. Finally got filenames into titles. Figured that out.
Am now trying to figure out how to have the filename/titles show up when viewing an image, not just a thumbnail. So, progress.

Re: Display Filenames
Hi,
backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Control Panel --> Options --> Detail View --> Detail View Settings --> Description Settings --> Display Description in Detail View=Show (Standard) or Show (Lightbox)
--> Display Title in Description=Yes
You need to try out this settings because it depends on the Detail View you are using.
Kind regards,
Benno
