Just set 0 for displaydescription parameter:
displaydescription - 0|1 - If you have set Display Description attribute to 1 in Phoca Gallery and you want to display this description if you click on image in Phoca Gallery Plugin, you must set it to 1

Display the title and description.
Added displaydescription=0

Still shows the title and description.

I displaydescription=0 does not work.
Found a temporary solution by editing boxplus.css:
line 261

font-weight:bold; color: #ffffff;
}
