Can't change the "detail view" window image size

I swear to God, I have looked all over the forum, read the documentation, messed with all the parameters and reuploaded and deleted my web album for hours, over and over again, and I still CANNOT FIND OUT HOW TO CHANGE THE DETAIL VIEW IMAGE SIZE. Something so simple is so f$%^* hard to do.

What do I do to change it to custom size? I want to make the detail window show images at a 900x900 px resolution.

I can change the window to that size, but the images don't get any bigger.

PLEASE HELP, I'M GOING CRAZY

(don't forget to remove the thumbs folder, or to recreate each thumbnail).
