Thumbnail creation: how to exclude large images creation?

Hi!

I am creating new galleries based on directory structure I already have.
I have images in 640x480 which I offer as maximum size images.

For example:

When creating thumbnails, Phoca will recreate for each picture:
1. phoca_thumb_s_IMG_3410.jpg
2. phoca_thumb_m_IMG_3410.jpg
3. phoca_thumb_l_IMG_3410.jpg

The last one (phoca_thumb_l_IMG_3410.jpg) is not needed really, since it is the same size picture as original IMG_3410.jpg. Since my web galleries are ove 2 GB in size, doubling every large image would cause major increase in disk usage.

Is there a way to configure Phoca not to create phoca_thumb_l_IMG_3410.jpg, but to use original IMG_3410.jpg insetad?

P.S. I tired to delete original images (IMG_3410.jpg etc.) but then I can't properly see them in admin interface (I see the name, but not the thumbnail).

I'm sorry, there isn't.
The large image is used everywhere in the code.

I don't know if there is a simple hack to display the thumbs when the originals are deleted. It used to be possible in the 1.x series afaik.

Hi!

That's bad news.

I just can't afford to increase disk usage of my website for 2 GB.
Do you have any instructions how this hack was used for 1.x version of Phoca Gallery? I might try to implement something similar to current version 2.2.4.
