registered categories

Hi,
some of my categories are registered, so only registered persons can view the pics in the frontend. When clicking on the menuitem (extended menu) with the registered category the login form opens. Fine i fill in the dteails and click on submit the startpage opens. I want that the same menuitem i clicked before opens? Otherwise the user must click the menuitem twice?? Hope you know what I mean.
