Re: Problem With Java Upload
Hi Jan,
I have a similar problem: Under OS X (10.4.11, Tiger) no Browser work with the Java-Uploader. Safari doesn't ask for the password for the J!/administrator-Folder (it's protected by access.html) - all other browsers do. Effect is the same: a red cross in the upper left corner.
Any Idea?
Regards
Michael

Re: Problem With Java Upload
Hi Jan,
in order to find another solution for the gallery component, I'm using Ice-Gallery, now. I don't like the design, but it's using "JumpLoader" to upload the pictures. This tool is pretty cool. Looks very good, uploads also folders and zips.
It has a informative display for overall and single uploads.
Don't be angry, perhaps this is a solution for the problems with your non-standart-uploader?
Kind Regards
Michael

Re: Problem With Java Upload
Hi Jan,
i've heard, there are many Problems with the last Java-Update? Any news about an alternative to the java-applet in your component? Did you have a look to jump-loader? What do you think? Is there a chance to become a working uploder with phoca gallery?
It's difficult to replace the uploader by myself?
TIA
Michael

Re: Problem With Java Upload
Hi, there are two minor bugs, which I will fix in 2.5.0 beta:
- I am going to add absolute path to the java uploader (so maybe on Mac no more problems with this uploader will be)
- and conditional comment for IE, so maybe there will be no more problem with IE
