Long Category names wrapping outside of category thumbnail.

Post by wolvyreen »

Hi,

Some of our categories have longer than normal names. This causes the name to wrap outside of the container and looks ugly. how do we style the container to grow with the name?? See below snapshot example:

I would appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks

Hi,
here you can enlarge the category box height (in px):
backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Control Panel --> Options --> Categories View --> Categories View Settings --> Category Box Space=(Set new value)
Save & Close

Kind regards,

Thanks Benno, That doesnt really sort my problem out because although it allows the names now to look better INSIDE the box, the shorter names are still on a single line and the box has a gap between itself and the next box. i suspect its because the CSS is using max-height instead of height. So I have had to fiddle with the css to get it the way I want it.

Hi, which version of Phoca Gallery do you use?

In version 4.3.0 you can set different options, one of this is "responsive design" - in this case get the image (box) max-height to be ready for responsive design.

But you can disable this option to get only "height" CSS value there.

There are another possible options - you can add category box space as Benno sugested and use equal heights parameter which then resizes the box by the one largest. Etc.

Just try to play with the parameters:
- responsive design
- equal heights
- image/category box space
