Slideshow controls override settings in Detail View

In detail view, I have the image description set to display below the image, which works fine for each single image, when a user clicks on its thumbnail.

The Slideshow Play Button, when clicked, advances to the next image. But once the next image appears, the Slideshow just advances without stopping, with the descriptions appearing in the overlay and fading in and out - they no longer appear below the images. If a user clicks on the Stop button, indeed, the show stops, but it also goes back to the first image! Makes no sense to me, nor did it to the several people I had test it for me, as users.

I would like the user to be able to advance the images manually, without any of this other activity going on. Or is there just a control available to go to the next image in the category - not really a "slideshow"?

Hi, I think, in this case you need to customize the javascript of the used slideshow. Because when slideshow is enabled it is fully controlled by used javascript library - so the option is to modify the current javascript slideshow library or to somehow change it to some other in case you will find which will more meet your needs
