When clicking on category folders and clicking to sub category page, the page only shows the Category heading, not the Sub Category heading.
How can I set the Sub Category heading (sub-category name) to show as well.
Thank you,
Joanne

Hi Joanne,
I'm not sure, if I understand correctly.
In generell, you can try following: Categories > Parent Category > Category [Edit]
select: Your Category > in Editor field > Description > your text.
Kind regards, Christine

Re: Sub Category title not showing only Category title showi
I'll clarify a little further Christine, and thank you for your time.
I want the heading to show the same as the main menu links:
Menu link to phoca showing category consistently - i've never seen this before but the header changes depending on how many times you click around.
However, when i click on the collaborations phoca link and go to this link (flux:water and sound), the heading shows the parent category (collaborations) and not the (flux:water and sound) category.
hope this helps clarify the problem. The strange thing is that if I click around a lot, eventually, the flux heading stay's on the other pages and does not show the category or the parent category but the header of the flux page is on all pages..very odd.
If you need to get in to see if I've set it up ok, please let me know.
thank you,
joanne

Hi, how many menu links to Phoca Gallery you have? I am asking because, when you go through the tree of gallery categories and there are more menu links to gallery, the menu can switch which can mean different options (include the options for displaying heading)

So it's settings in the menu, not the component options?

Hi, no aliases cannot be the same, but how many menu links to Phoca Gallery do you have?

Re: Sub Category title not showing only Category title showi
the same amount of links as i had links to in the main menu.
The duplicate menu items (main menu links and gallery menu links messed up the pages and titles.
I had to disable all links from the phoca gallery so they weren't diverted to the phoca page as I wanted the links to go to my main menu links which were mostly "list of images". So I worked around this and made only site-wide links.
I was also frustrated that I could not make category "landing" pages just showing a "select" number of categories to show instead of all the categories

Re: Sub Category title not showing only Category title showi
Hi, when one menu link is used, it means, all the settings will be used by this menu link options. So you know which parameters are used.
When more menu links are used, it can happen, that when you go through the gallery tree, the menu will switch (as it is set in Options) so then you need to find which menu link is used and check the options of this menu link. When you disable SEF, the URL gets Itemid parameter which is menu link ID and you can see on each site, which menu link is active.
So what could happen. In some of the menu link, the headers are not set and when you go through the gallery tree, one of the menu link will be active - one which does not have any header set, etc.
