No Category No Thumbnails

After having the problem with FF now the next obstacle:

Phoca can´t create directory and Thumbnails. Pictures are uploaded - see the placeholders in the page

when i click them:

Warning: getimagesize(/home/httpd/vhosts/sitename/httpdocs/images/phocagallery/KiteHotel/thumbs/phoca_thumb_l_Pousadafullmoon1.jpg) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/httpd/vhosts/sitename/httpdocs/administrator/components/com_phocagallery/helpers/phocagallery.php on line 40

even more trouble - when go in the single upload - the folder where the pics are (uploaded via ftp, and even available on the harddrive) apears. When i click the folder it tells me "there is no image folder" - what tells me that???? how is possible - a can see it in my ftp with 777 chmod rights????

create the folder gives me that:

Error:
JFolder::create: Could not create directory
JFolder::create: Could not create directory

Message says: Folder created

The big letters say: There is no image folder

so what´s next....

Hi,

check if there is a folder called 'thumbs' in the folder where the images are. If such a folder doesn't exist, create one. Make sure this folder has got writing rights.
