Site logo overlaps gallery

The top of the gallery is covered by the logo of my site's theme. Now, I cannot remove the logo of the website. Is there any way to have the gallery simply shift lower so it starts below the logo? Add lines to CSS or something?

Please know, I am not a programmer at all. I am just trying to help maintain the website of this non-for-profit organization.

Hi, images in gallery do not use any specific setting regarding the image displaying level (z-index, e.g.) so this needs to be done in the template - to set the z-index for the logo or for the images or move the content below the logo
