photos upload but won't appear

Hi, I have uploaded photos to my test site on my computer using wamp etc. No problems everything works just fine. I now have the problem now that when I try to upload the same images to my online site, the images upload to the right directory, everything is in place but the images themselves won't show. I know it will be something simple but I just cannot work it out. Any ideas?
I have tried both ftp ing the photos to my site, and using the multiple add but no joy. They are in the images phoca gallery folder but they will not show.

Hi,

the multiple add dialog consist of 2 processes. 1 is uploading, the other is adding to a category. Did you add the images to a category?

yep I sure did. As I said the whole thing works fine on my local server, and photos will show if I back up my local and upload the whole site but not if I try to upload via Phoca or FTP . It is strange but I will keep trying.

Hi,

When you go to Phoca Gallery > Images tab in the backend, do you see the images added (but you don't see a picture) or is the whole image tab empty?

hi, been out all day. After adding the photos to the category the tags are there but no images. There is a ghost square. In media manager, the photos are present in the subfolder for this group of photos in the folder Phoca gallery.

I have now sorted this problem which was one of complete stupidity on my part. Firstly, although I looked and looked again I failed to realize that when setting allow thumbnail creation on my online site, I did not click on save. This error lead to one of those nightmare days where you just keep making more and more mistakes. All is now working on this particular site. To those who make derogatory statements about Phoca you are wrong this is a great extension. It just needs time to get to know it. well done guys.
