I was wondering if anyone can help me.
I have Joomla 1.5 and had "com_phocagallery_v1.6.8" installed. I had attempted to install "com_phocagallery_v2.2.0" but I got the following message:
JInstaller::install: Failed to copy file: /home/country/public_html/tmp/install_49ac927cea6ac/front/assets/js/highslide/graphics/icon.gif to /home/country/public_html/components/com_phocagallery/assets/js/highslide/graphics/icon.gif
Previous to this I was unable to remove the "phocagallery" folder and the original images completely when I attempted to uninstall "com_phocagallery_v1.6.8".
Can anyone help me? Much appreciated.

Re: Phoca Gallery Component Install
Hi,
I uninstalled phoca gallery component when I attempted to install the newer version of phoca gallery (com_phocagallery_v2.2.0). I had to manually delete the phoca gallery component because it wouldn't delete the folder during the unistall. I also had to do that with the "phoca gallery" folder in the "images" folder. Do you have any solution to resolve this?
Thanks,
Fredbo66

Re: Phoca Gallery Component Install
Hi, if there is some problem with deleting some files while uninstallation, then this doesn't depends on Phoca but on Joomla! installation and uninstallation procedure and on server's rights, permissions and ownership ... so if you have installed the component with FTP enabled then no problems should occure. Sure the phocagallery folder in image folder need to be removed manually...
If you find Phoca extensions useful, please support the project
