Hi,
I am posting this here for help after going through most of the forum posts related to this problem. User told me that he couldn't upload picture. I logged in as admin in the front end and uploaded one image and it worked. Then I tried to upload another, it did not work. All it did was bring me back to the category page with out the image in there. Thinking that it could be the disk space issue, I changed the parameter to 0 for it. All other parameters look fine ie. thumbnail creation. I am stumped at the moment. Help please.
Thank you in advance.

Re: Front end User upload stopped working
Hi,
I don't know if 0 means 'no limit at all' - what happens if you add a big number?
It might be the case that the image is corrupted, did you also try another image? Did you check the permissions (it must be writable) of the user folder on your server?
Regards, Carolien

Re: Front end User upload stopped working
Thanks Carolien for your response.
Under parameters it says 'for no limits' use 0. However I did try a large number as well. It did not work. What amazes me the most is that I logged in and uploaded one picture. Right after that I tried to upload a second picture and it did not work. I did not change any thing before the second upload try.
Only after that I changed the parameters to see if it would make a difference but it did not. I also played around with the permission. I did 777, 766, 755 but nothing worked.
I have no idea what else if there is any that I need to do.
Thank you again.

Re: Front end User upload stopped working
After searching through the forum, I changed the template to see the error while uploading images from the front end. This is the error I get:
There is no more disk space for uploading and adding an image into your gallery
Under parameters, where it says "Maximum Category Disk Space (in bytes - front upload)", I have changed the value to 0 for no limit as well as increased the bytes to see if it would work. When I try to upload a small image (file size), it said that the file already exist (I had tried to upload it before too). Does that mean all the images I tried to upload are under images in the gallery? If so, how do I find that image or find the images which were not upload but exist in the server?
When I tried to upload a bigger size image it gave me the same error of 'no more disk space' . I have plenty of disk space available on the server.
Thank you in advance for your help and this great gallery.

Re: Solved: Front end User upload stopped working
Thanks again for this great gallery.
Previously I had all my galleries under a parent gallery. Once I made all galleries independent galleries (removed the parent gallery), it started to work. I still could not figure out what exactly was I doing wrong. However, it got fixed and I am happy.
