Same problem with me,
but may be I have another clue for you, Jan.
My site is available in two languages - German and Bulgarian. If I choose German, than I can use the java upload method from the frontend. Choosing Bulgarian causes the error described above?
Is there a possibility to change the code regarding the language selection something like this
if lang= de - show me the applet in German, else English...?
Thanks in advance

Hi, no idea why other language will do some problems ??? ... you can customize the code, so you will add there some if clause but I think this is not a solution

Re: Front-end Java upload
I updated my java to update 17 and that worked for me. I was getting the error "Java 1.5 or higher plugin required"
Maybe not relevant as I'm running Firefox 3.5.5 but might be worth a try for some.
