Gallery categories page and intro/description text

Hi, I'd like to provide some useful introduction and description text when users achieve my Gallery categories page.

Any hint to do it?

Hi, you can add comment on category site, there is no such option for categories view, so this need to be customized

Anyway it's weird 'cause the template shows an empty (ad hoc?) zone...

Maybe it could be an useful hint and suggestion for next realease!

I'll try to solve it creating a static content with description and link for gallery.

Sorry I don't understand what you mean?

I was checking the code to see where I could add a description for the gallery category list. I notice in the code it looks for one but in the menu editor for the gallery category list, there is no Description field. To fix this you can add the folowing text to the gallery menu record, in the params column, in the menu table in your joomla database.

show_comp_description=1
comp_description=Your Description here.


This probably should be fixed in the next release.
