Phoca Gallery Image Module - category

Hi, I would like to ask you, if is possible to set this module to show image also from child of selected category. Now when I create child category I need to edit every module and manually select it although the parent of new child category is selected.

Hi, no, only the categories, you exactly specify in the module options. To display the images from subcategories, I think, then the module needs to be customized (the SQL query which loads all the items )

Does anyone know how to edit the module's SQL settings to retrieve child categories? We have a parent gallery (just called "Photos") and are hoping that the module can display images from the most recently-added sub-category. Right now, we have to manually update the module every time we create a new gallery since we're using the module to show the latest photos added to the website. Any tips would be appreciated!

Hi, there can be more ways - e.g. to load selected categories and load their subcategories (must be recursive) and store the category ID - then after getting all categories in the tree to run the sql which will load the images from such categories
