Comments on Phoca Gallery!

Hi! I'm sorry for the disturbance. I am one of the many people here who is using your awesome gallery. I just have one question in this topic and I hope anybody could answer me. You see, I am using the template called JAMBA (style #5) and the thing is at the bottom of the gallery, there's a white box there that says comments, statistics, etc. That's not the problem though. The problem is the color of the text in the box. It's very hard to read. I haven't seen your css file yet for the component because as much as possible, I don't wanna hack into the files themselves to fix things because maybe there's an easier way to do this. I don't know if I should post my website here so you can see the problem on my gallery. But okay, I will post the link so anyone who wants to answer my question can see the problem first before giving some answers to my question "How do I change the color of the text on the white box at the bottom of the gallery?".

Hi, this need to be changed in css:
components/com_phocagallery/assets/phocagallery.css

dl.tabs dt.open - for the folder background
div.current - for the whole box

change background:#ffffff to your own color

Thanks a bunch Jan! That went well. I changed it to transparent so that anytime I wanna change template, I don't have to change it again although the background of the star rating is fixed but it's no big deal. Ummm, Jan I am sorry to bother you again but it seems that I forgot to ask you one more thing about the gallery. I have read your manual and checked the params that you have set there but I just can't find the solution. Here's my question: how will I be able to display four columns of pics to occupy the empty space on the right side of the gallery? Like I said, I have checked & rechecked the params and nothing there that says anything about the columns I could display.

I really appreciate it if anybody could help me out. I don't know if I missed any option at the params to change the columns from 3 to 4 or is it really like that? Please use the same link to view.

hi,

... because there are no columns for the pictures, ... pictures are stored in float boxes which fill the whole site, you can set the number of columns if you set the width of phoca gallery box...

so e.g. one box = 140px (image + borders + padding + margin) and you want e.g. 3 colums --> 3 x 140 = 420 so you set e.g. 450px width for phoca gallery (surely if there is no place then less than 3 colums will be displayed) ... so the important is width of the image + width of the site:

2 colums on 3 colums site:

3 colums on 3 colums site:

3 colums on 2 colums site:
https://www.phoca.cz/wallpapers/index.ph ... ory/9-wine

if you have white space on your site, maybe there is no enough place for next column..

Haha! I have thought of that too Jan and thanks for reassuring that kind of workaround. But anyway, I have found a better solution. Something that will not make me adjust the size of the boxes. I got the trick and you can check it out yourself!

Jan, you are one impressive person! I dunno how you divide your time lol but what amazes me more is how you show dedication to the people who wish to use your extensions through answering their questions and that includes.. ahem.. myself lol. But anyway, I know I can't thank you enough but I will still thank you. Your work is definitely one of the finest. You create extensions that are neatly coded and definitely opensource and what's impressive is that you back it all up with a very good documentation and there's more, amazing support at the forum! And let's not forget... the way to upgrade painlessly lol. This is commercial grade i tell ya and for sharing it freely, i will give u a 10/10 for that.
