Creating default object from empty value

Hello Everybody,

I use Joomla 1.5.26 and Phoca Gallery 2.8.1.
After creating a new category and filling it with pictures i get this message at the front of my hompage:
Creating default object from empty value in /var/www/.../html/joomla/administrator/components/com_phocagallery/libraries/phocagallery/image/imagefront.php on line 370.
You can find this message on many homepages if you search after this sentence. This must be a problem generally .
Have everybody an idea?
I found a similiar topic here, but there was not an answer that could be satisfying.

Hi, if you are using newest php version (php5.4) you should then upgrade your Joomla! and Phoca Gallery, as the version 2.8.1 was released before the php5.4 so it does not know the settings of objects.

This will be fixed but as obsolote versions have less priority, this will take some time.
