4 Issues w/ Phoca Download - Video Inside

Hi There,

I am using Phoca Download and having some issues with it.
Joomla Version: 2.5.7
Phoca Download Version: 2.1.6

Here are the issues

1.) When we place the folders into a student page, they always open in a new window. Is there any way for it to open to _self?
2.) We often get little 'locks' next to the category name and were wondering why that happens
3.) When we click the up green arrow in a category, it reaches a point where we get an Error 500 page.
Why is that happening?
4.) There does not seem to be an auto-update function? Where can I find upgrade instructions? Also how do I ensure i lose no categories or files during the upgrade process

Hi,

1) the green button is and "up" button, not a "back" button - it means it goes through the whole category tree - from files in subcategory - to files in parent category - to categories list ( and depends on created menu link, if the link will be correctly or not) Mostly if the menu link is Ok, there is no problem with 500 or wrong url, but if the site does not include menu link, there can be problems with creating URL (in such case this up button needs to be unpublished in settings) Try to see:

2) this is a joomla feature (one item cannot be edited by more people, see Site - Maintenance - Global Check-in in your Joomla! administration)
3) 500 mostly means a php error, try to see: https://www.phoca.cz/documents/16-joomla ... ent-errors
4) because the auto-update function does not have such feature which Phoca Download needs (e.g. to change database tables, convert, etc.), it was not implemented yes, I still do some research there, so it is planned (but not sure when it will be done and if it will be done, because of possible specific functions)
You can do upgrade easily with installin new function and clicking on the "upgrade" button - see the guide for Phoca Gallery (it is the same for all other extensions)

Can you tell me if it is possible to have the folder link open to _self instead of _blank. When you click the folder when placing the folder link on the page it always opens in a new browser window.

Also if I want to unpublish the UP button, how can I find in settings where to do that. I was not able to find the area to do this in the General Settings for Phoca Download.

Hi, do you mean category (not a folder). There is no feature to open it in new window (try to check your system plugins, if some of the plugin does not change the html of the site - e.g. some system plugins add attributes to html a tags, etc.)

Hi there! Yes I mean a category. When I place a link to a category on a user page, the link always opens in a new window.

Is there a plugin that can fix this so it can open in the same window or a way around it when coding the link to the folder on the user page?

Is there no way to modify the core code to get the category link to open to _self instead of to _blank?

Hi, I see no problem with this, the modification will be easy (but I still don't understand, because it is normally opening in the samve window )

Would it be helpful to give you a user login so you can see what is happening and admin access to look to see if something is conflicting to make the windows always open in _blank? If so let me know where I can reach you via email privately.

So only go through the System plugins, those are the only ones that would affect this area?

Which plugins would I try to disable? I'm not sure which ones might affect the links going to _blank instead of parent.
