Will be great if you can more describe your environment (which php, server environment you are running)

I will do more tests, maybe some OS is accessing the info other way. Will test it today and will write If I found something, maybe some function is working other way on other OS

i upgraded to RC3 today... no improvement for me

... but works when i change the filename to lowercase before uploading... as suggested

Hi, I was testing it on windows and linux too, the uploaded file in frontend will be transformed to small letters.

Where exactly do you upload the files, maybe there is other place where I didn't change it?

i have a menu item that is linked to all foto galeries... when i choose a galerie, i see the pics in there. Below the thumbnails there is an upload form. When i use this one and the filename contains uppercase characters, the "error while saving item" error shows up. Funny thing is, that when i look via FTP in my phoca galerie folder, the file was uploaded all with lowercase characters.
Whenever i rename the file before uploading... there is no problem then.

Hi, seems like in category view, there is missing the translating the images, I will take a look at it for the next version.
