Picasa Import

Post by trehahn »

Hello, I have been searching the Forum (and Google) for a solution to this problem, there are several others who had issues with the import I did see, but none of the solutions I found, worked for me.

I entered my Picasa username and Album name in, the albums are public, but when I try to import it just goes back to the control panel. I don't get any javascript errors (one solution I found), so that doesn't help. The page that says I need to verify settings on the server are enabled, were. So that wasn't it. I have no idea what it can be.

I had tried another photo gallery before this one, and it did import the Album, however it didn't add the images which were uploaded after the initial import, without deleting it, and reimporting the whole album. I found this one does the same thing, and like Phoca products better anyhow. Any assistance is appreciated! I have the latest Joomla and Phoca Gallery. Joomla 3.3.3 and Phoca Gallery 4.1.1 Thank you!

I was able to find the solution to this problem. I am using a Plugin called Custom Member Homepage, which will display a different homepage for members, than it does the general public. When I disabled this plugin, the Picasa import works perfect. When enabled, it does not. While the Custom Member Homepage is supposed to only redirect members only for the Homepage only on the front end, it obviously is preventing the Picasa import somehow on the back end. If anyone is running this Plugin, having this problem disable it, import your images, then enable it again.
