Hi Jan. On my site don't work "Filter Parent Category ID"
If i set parent category ID example 2 or 2,3 then on page do not show no categories. But if i add on end comma (ex. 2,3,) then zero effect and in gallery show all categories.
I test on two my sites. identically effect. In what may be a problem?
Kind regards, HiopsNerevar

Re: Don't work "Filter Parent Category ID"
Hi, hmmm, testing now without any problem, the 2,3 works the same like 2,3, except that by the second case, 0 will be added (it means all the categories which have parent_id = 0 - means all root categories will be displayed too)
means: 2,3 => all categories which belongs to parent category 2 and 3
means: 2,3, => (zero will be added - the same like 2,3,0) - all categories which belongs to parent category 2 and 3 and of course all root categories

Solved: Don't work "Filter Parent Category ID"
Hi all,
In the past I faced the same problem. I tried to use the field "Filter Parent Category ID" which appears when I created a menu item of type "List Of Categories (Categories View)". It didn't work no matter what I wrote in that field.
In order to solve the problem you have to go to the "Options" of the component and at the section "Categories View Settings", set the parameter "Display Subcategories" to "yes".
Thanks for this great tool.

Re: Don't work "Filter Parent Category ID"
Hi, are you sure, category 1 or 2 includes subcategories? Did you set "displaying of subcategories" to yes, like mentioned above?
