Development of plugin for phoca gallery

Hello.

When importing images, I need to record in the mysql tables database, some informations such as tags or description from the EXIF / IPTC tags of each picture.

But, of course, I don't want to hack the phoca gallery code.
So I need to develop a plugin for phocagallery.

Is-it defined, in the phoca gallery component, events (as defined in joomla) such as "onBeforePictureSave" that would allow me to make this kind of plugin ?

Do you think that it's possible to have some important events for having possibility like describe in my post header ?

I don't want to hack Phoca code.

So if you said no, i prefer to make a little component, that modify the table of phoca, after pictures integration, for filling with the good informations.

Hi, I have added it to feature request list, but really no idea when I will find time to look at this (this can take a lot of time )

Thanks Jan, I thinks that this will be very interesting for extending the capacity of your very good components.

If i can...
...I suggest to make the same in Phoca Download.

For exemple an event when uploading a new file to the server before writing in the db table
(for exemple for making a plugin for copying file to preview for having the ability to directly display a pdf for exemple).

Hi, for now I am working on implementing loading of external plugins in Phoca Gallery (made by Bernard Gilly), I hope I will finish it soon.
