ImageReaderWriterHelper.getImageMetadata()

Post by mnxfiles »

Hi there

I am getting the following error when trying to do java multiple uploads of images (with included resizing):
ImageReaderWriterHelper.getImageMetadata()

The error seems to be somewhat connected to photoshop or raw/nef image files. I use photoshop to edit my files and save the files in jpg format. I have tried everything to get around the error - changing/adding metadata etc.

One solution is to open the image in Gimp instead (after saving them in photoshop) and just save it again overwriting the existing file. This strangely works just fine. But, this is of cause not a log term solution when dealing with several hundred images...

Where can I get help to solve this - I understand this is not specifically linked to Phoca. I hope someone can help as this is a big issue for me.

Best regards
Martin

Hi, unfortunatelly I am not able to give any advice regarding JAVA as I don't use this language (the java feature was added to Phoca Gallery as experimental feature - it can help a lot of users but a lot of other users have problems with JAVA on their PC, so this is really problematic issue which I cannot solve :-( and I don't have any experiences and knowledges about such problems :-( :-( )
