Multi upload : Flash not installed

Post by Canopus »

Hello

I found other topics about this issue but with not solution.

I can not use any multi-upload solution because for each I get a message "not installed"

I use Joomla 2.5.6 + Phoca 3.2.1 + french translation

Any help is welcome,

Florent

Hi, what you mean with "not installed", check your javascript console in your browser, if there is no javascript error which prevents from displaying the multiple-upload form.

I am having the same issue, I tested it on 3 different computers and I receive the same error. My flash is fully up to date, it comes with google chrome. Tried in IE as well. Below is the screen shot:Image

Jan,

1 more thing. Before, the only option for multi-upload was the java option. I had to click "Run at this time" , but there was another option to upgrade. I was able to get it to work, using the old java version, after I installed the new java version it said that you need java to be installed.

I was looking at other simliar issues and found that some Flash Uploader will only work with Flash 9.0. Please let me know if flash 11 is not compatible with Phoca or do you have any other work around.

Hi, this is an old issue with uploader which is not more used in Phoca Gallery. The new has no such problems - see javascript console in your browser - mostly this is caused by some javascript error rendered before loading the upload function.

This is the error in the current version of firefox 16.0.1.

TypeError: k is null

What is weird is that it was working. Then I went into change the files sizes to larger files and then it stopped working when I went into the multi upload tab.
Also I am using Joomla 2.5.6 with phoca 3.2.2 English.

Hi, really no idea what can be wrong there, testing with latest firefox without any problem  maybe there is some javascript conflict on your site  which then renders the k is null (but which javascript does render it, and why?, really no idea :-( )

I'm trying to set up a new installation and I have only installed the component yet. I'm running J 2.5.7 with Phoca G 3.2.2.

It doesn't matter what multi upload type I choose, I always get "Your browser doesn't have "X" installed" or "Your browser doesn't have "Y" support".

I have tried both IE9 and Google Chrome but the same result.

Hi, not sure what you mean with X or Y?

I used X and Y to explain that depending on what multi upload type I try to use, I get similar answers where X and Y corresponds to what multi upload type I try. It was a way to not have to write all error messages when just two words are different.
