Images sizes and popup box sizes

I am a little confused.

I use an extremely large screen and sometimes forget that typical surfers on my site dont have such big screens.

so I have been going into Phoca and resizing my large images and popup box because I have gotten complaints that they cant see the little white X to close the popped image.

(I know they can just click a large image it an it goes away, but there are alot of stupid people out there and you have to make things very easy for them).

When I change the settings in both the gallery parameters and my button parameters
I delete all my images and recreate the thumbs.

however the popup box resizes
but the large image stays the same size not matter what I change the large image setting to.

its like its pulling the image size from the original file

well then what does this "large" image setting do?

and how do I get the large image to resize down to fit inside the popup box. without going back and photoshopping all my images.

example my original image is 750x600
my popup box is set to 750x600
I want my image to size to 725x600 (or the closest size that would fit)

now I should be resizing the front end popup right?
thats the setting for the large ajax animated type popup?

umm.... never mind maybe
I think it was a cache issue

the images are fine on another machine

I was doing it correctly just the old image size was cached

super !! i had a similar problem and it has been resolved by deleting the cache on cache manager
