Changing The Order of Pictures

Hi Jan and everyone,

I have about 35 pictures in my PhocaGallery and I want to edit say the photo at number 7 and replace it BUT when I add a new photo its added at the bottom of the photos in number 36 position and I have to hit the up arrow 29 times to move it to position 7.
Is there an easy way to move photos into the gallery or around the gallery please?

Hi,
yes, there is: go to the images page (in backend), sort the table by "sorting" (i think, I use the German version, there it's called "Reihenfolge"). The your able to type in the little text boxes in each row -> type 7 at the image 36 and hit the save icon in the column header.

Thanks reko, so what happens to the photo in position number 7 when I make photo 36 number 7 or do I delete number 7 first?

So how do you "slot a photo in" then reko? Say I have 26 photos but want a new one to go in between 22 and 23 how do I do that easily?

if i remember correctly, it moves down (to , same with all following entrys (so 8 becomes 9, 9 -> 10, 10 -> 11,...)

Ah gotcha reko, I shall give it a try.

It's been taking me absolutely ages to get a new photo in the right position (order) after editing them.
