Alternate controls? (Highslide?)

Post by GenkaiNashi »

Sorry for my question if it is annoying (in advance). I was wondering if there was any way to modify the Highslide JS controls to look something like this: http://www.digitalia.be/demo/slimbox-1-11/

I know that Phoca does not include the Slimbox type lightbox, but I was wondering if anyone managed to modify the controls for Highslide in anyway. Also, another quickie, does Phoca ever plan on including Slimbox officially? Thank you.

Hi,

I think this is maybe question on some Highslide developers. I don't have any experiences there.

Slimbox:
Yes it is planned, but this depends on Joomla! because it includes Mootools library which is for now obsolete. So after mootools will be updated then this method can be added to Phoca Gallery.

Awesome, I look forward to slimbox in phoca. Damn Joomla for holding it back. I didn't know mootools was obsolete (?). Slimbox doesn't use mootools? Thanks!

Please let me know the site to slimbox you mean, I see slimbox with mootools  (then there are some methods with jquery but jquery can be in coflict with mootools, which should be solved in 1.6 too)

Hey Jan,

I meant the Slimbox for Mootools --> http://www.digitalia.be/demo/slimbox-1-11/

(Any version is good though :D )

I love the way the controls are that's why I was wondering. =)

Actually Jan,

I managed to introduce slimbox 1.11 method for mootools 1.12 :D

It actually works! I've emailed you the install file to check it out.

Right now it has no parameter settings (except to select Slimbox as a method) so its the default slimbox. :D

Hello,

I am very interested in your tweak since this would make my site more homogeneous. I use slimbox in all my articles.

Jan thanks again for your great gallery.

Hey Benji,

I'm currently having Jan take a look at it. It works fine for the most part, but currently there is no way to set anything from parameters. I'll let you know when its done (it'll be soon). 8)

Hello,

thanks for your answer. I would be very interested in testing in my preproduction environnement if you aggree. I do not need parameters since i only use slimbox so it would be fine for me.

I guess it could be could to test before in order to detect compatibility issue in another environnement (i'm using ja purity ii which is often source of problem with other components... but so beautiful and customisable).
