Size of Library

Hello,

What is a bit a common size of the image library (in numbers of pictures), or the better question, what is the limit ...

I'm having a site with at this moment over 2000 pictures uploaded, and there where the tumbnail creation in the beginnen was fast, it now goes slower then 5 seconds per image. And images are 700*465 with is not that huge.

Is there some logic in this slowing down ?

Meanwhile it has come so far that i can't get into the images page any more (administrator) there was a queue waiting for 800 images, and at the thumbnail generation the site times out. We don't have the fastest ISP but normally i wouldn't call it slow neighter.
Any suggestion ?

You might be having memory issues with your server. Upload in small batches to avoid this problem. For now you might have to wait until your servers memory clears.

I've installed everything now even on my locahost, en then upload to the server, files & tables.
Even on localhost its getting far to slow ...
Any suggestion ?
I don't undestand why the generation of the thumbnails is slowing down with the number of pictures ....

Can you check how much memory you are using on your local machine when it starts to slow down? After a while either your CPU or Memory will get maxed out.
