I have read several threads about this issue but server memory problems do not sound plausible to me.
I uploaded several images via FTP into the phoca gallery folder. I successfully used "multiple add" to add about 70+ images and their thumbnails to my gallery. There were some lager files (> 1,5 MB <3MB) too.
But then problems started with Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 52428800 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 14592 bytes) in /home/****/public_html/administrator/components/com_phocagallery/libraries/phocagallery/image/imagemagic.php on line 214
Thumbnail creation was deactivated. I was able to work around this problem, adding less and smaller images after I manually reactivated the thumbnail creation. It worked for a while, but even IF thumbnails were created, I was forwarded to a blank screen with "Stop thumbnail creation". Thumbnail creation was deactivated and the cycle began again.
I now have the problem that I can't create ANY thumbnails, regardless of the size of the images. I just tried to create a thumbnail of an 500kb image, but it wont work. Blank screen with "stop thumbnail creation". No thumbnails created.
If I reactivate thumbnail creation and try to access the "Images" menu (next to control panel), I once again jump to the "stop thumbnaill creation" scree.
What can I do?
Thumbnail creation failed after many successes

Re: Thumbnail creation failed after many successes
Try to check other parameters too, like pagination thumbnail creation - mostly there can be problem with memory, see:
