Until today Phoca Gallery was very succesfull.
Now I received the next error message. What can I do about it?
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2323049 bytes) in /storage/mijndomein/users/117877/public/sites/www.gkvzoetermeer.nl/plugins/system/phocapdfcontent.php on line 64

But you don't get any problem in Phoca Gallery, but in Phoca PDF content plugin. As links to PDF are fixed in Joomla! other methods needs to find these links and correct them. This can take some time and some memory.
Try to search the phoca pdf content plugin in forum to get more information.
The only chance is to increase memory limit
or not to use Phoca PDF
