I'm getting the error msg:
JFolder::create: Could not create directory
Warning! Failed to move file.
I've checked all the permissions and changed between 755 & 777, still not working. I've even manually uploaded the files. Having checked the web I can't find clear answer to the problem and how to get around it, so is there a way that now the files have been put on the server I can get it to install manually?
I've previousl set up a forum on the site and that is running ok, so I would assume that the site is running ok.
********UPDATE*********
I've even followed the instructions found in the article "Phoca Gallery is not installed and blank page is displayed" and all is ok untill I try and upload the ftp file. it gives the same error msg.
Is there a manual way to install the Phoca Gallery?

Hi, you should check your permissions but Ownership of files and folders too on your server (try to enable FTP layer, etc)

Hi. Have just tried that and get the following error:
JFTP::mkdir: Bad response
JFTP::chmod: Bad response
JFTP::store: Bad response
Warning! Failed to move file.
I'm a little bit confused as I've installed and set up a forum ok on this set up.

Try to see:
https://www.phoca.cz/documents/50-phoca/ ... y-settings
it is about permissions, ownership and ftp for Phoca Gallery, but the same principle is used in the whole Joomla!
