Users can't upload image

hi, before all let me grats for this awesome plugin!
Now, i have a problem
My goal is to enable registered user to upload images in "already created" category, user must not create new categories.
Using the control panel i just created my categories and i've enabled image upload for registered user, but when a user (or a admin too!) try to upload an image using the uploader (or java uploader) it always says "Please select Category".. but i can't select any category!
I can select category only by the "upload an image" option in user profile, but this force an user to made another category and upload in that new category!

How can i let registered user to upload image in MY already created category? And how i can made impossible to create they're own category?

did you give the Access rights to Registered users when you created the categories?
if not, no one can access it so they will not be able to choose it

yes, user "teorically" can upload images, they can see and use the 2 uploading method
but still that error

I tryed to install phoca gallery on a brand new joomla site but users still can't upload any image from the gallery
They can upload only from the user control panel, but i don't need it (i also disabled user panel in phoca gallery)

How i can solve this?

I have the same problem. I want to create the categories myself, but let my users create sub-categories. But it seems that to let someone upload images via the User Control Panel in the front-end, they have to be the owner of a category and it is not possible to set several owners of the same category. Anyone know how to fix this?

Hi, in UCP only owners can upload images - you can set Category for some user and let him as owner, then he/she is able to do subcategories there.

If you need, more users can upload images to one category, you need to use Category view uploading and add user rights for the users.
