Gallery Back Arrow

Post by carlwolf »

Hello,
For the Phoca Gallery, is there some way to:
1. Assign where the Green Back Arrow returns a visitor
2. Is there a way to remove the Green Back Arrow
Thank you,
Carl

Hi,
1. no, it always takes you back to the parent category (or categories view, if there is none)
2. yes, in global configuration, please see documentationfor details

Thanks Reko,
Here's what is causing me a problem.
I've used the Gallery Plugin because I want to put a gallery in an article below some text that I've created. The whole point of having the Gallery Plugin would be to have some text along with a gallery on one article yes? In particular, I'm trying to get an article that looks sort of like:

Paragraph
Paragraph
Gallery 1

Paragraph
Paragraph
Gallery 2

And so forth.

The snag is, when that Green Arrow is there, it always returns back to the Categories View page, and NOT the page I want.
So, I'm trying to "assign" where that Green Back Arrow goes, if only that were somehow possible, then my dilemma solved. But you say that can't be done.

So, I can turn it off, but then the person who has viewed a gallery may not know where he/she came from, and will then have to hit a Menu Navigation button to try and find where they saw the galleries along with the text.

See the point?
Do you have any suggestions aside from turning off the arrow???

Please discuss, Thank you!

ah, I see, you're using the pg plugin...
but sorry, I can't help :(
there is no option to set the target for the button. you could add a static link to the gallery description back to that article though... but that's a workaround and is probably not of great convenience when "back" can refer to more than one article per gallery.
