How must the permissions within the images folder be set?
images was 755
phocagallery was 755
Uploading Images and creating Thumbnails did not work (but it was working a few days ago - I only installed a new plugin, no other changes were made)
Uploading Images showed me an errormessage. Uploading manually via FTP worked, but PhacaGallery then could not generate the Thumbnails --> Changing images, images/phocagallery and images/thumbs to 777 solved the problem.
Is this really ok? This means, that my image folder is open to everyone!?!?!?
Is this ok? Or should I use a different setting or what else could I do???

Hi, all this depends on permissions but on ownership of files and folders on the server. There can be different settings which can work or not. Enabling ftp layer can help if there is problem with ownership e.g.
