Hello,
I have the same problem as tinboye:
When i insert phocagallery code in articles, i get this error:
"Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in [...]/plugins/content/phocagallery.php on line 715"
Error displays before the post title.
Meanwhile, Phoca runs properly when accessed from direct link in the menu, or from tree module, image module and menu module.
I check the two tutorials you provided. SEF seems to be ok. Tables and files are correctly installed.
Any idea ?

I'm so dumb ... forget my previous message:
When you insert images in articles through the button plugin, the "Categories" feature provides the option to HIDE a category.
On my test site, I have only one category, and i clicked on hide ... that explains the error 715.
I have to say that this "Hide" feature is king of misleading at the first time. But i read to quickly maybe ...
