Problem after upgrade to 2.6.2

Hi, to all.
I have Joomla 1.5.8 ita with Phoca gallery 2.5 ita from joomla.it. After the upgrade to 2.6.2 (I've dowloaded com_phocagallery eng from phoca.cz, uploaded via installer, upgraded when requested), buttons in the control panel show the sql string (the button "users" has got the description "PHOCAGALLERY_USERS" and not "users").
In the frontend, after the upgrade I no longer see the categories and the images uploaded....
I tried to uninstall phoca and reinstall with a fresh installation but the problem persist.
Is it a problem with the language or I delete any files or sql string in the database?

Hi RikShield,
text_strings: did you install the latest translation? if so, it's possible that Italian is not yet complete...

front end: you need to authorize all images and categories after upgrade to 2.6.2: go to users -> authorize all.
