User Control Panel menu item redirects to home page

I have created a user control panel menu item and have enabled the user control panel from Phoca gallery > parameters ... but when i click on the link i am redirected to the home page. any idea why is that happening?

I solved this issue by doing the following:

the menu item had this in the end of the url: &ItemId=127
so i removed it and it started working
